Quick answer
The Marvel HeroClix X-Men Rise and Fall Fast Forces box contains six ready-to-play miniatures based on the Rise & Fall of the Shi'ar Empire storyline, ideal for new players or thematic teams.
What makes Fast Forces different from a booster
A Fast Forces set is designed as a complete, playable team right out of the box. Unlike blind booster packs, you know exactly which six characters you're getting. This makes it a reliable starting point for building a themed squad or for a player who wants to jump straight into a game without trading or collecting extras.
Rise and Fall vs. X of Swords: key differences
The X-Men X of Swords booster (product ID 979363) is a five-figure blind pack based on the Krakoa-era crossover. It includes characters like Cable, Storm, and Magneto in new sculpts, plus first-time figures such as The White Sword. The Rise and Fall Fast Forces set focuses on the Shi'ar Empire conflict and comes with a fixed roster, so you know exactly what you're buying. Choose Fast Forces for a complete team; choose X of Swords for surprise additions and more recent storyline characters.
Frequently asked questions
How many figures are in the Rise and Fall Fast Forces box?
Six pre-selected HeroClix figures. The set is designed as a ready-to-play team, so you don't need to buy additional packs to field a squad.
Can I use these figures with other HeroClix sets?
Yes. All HeroClix figures are compatible with the same game system. You can mix and match Rise and Fall characters with figures from X of Swords or any other HeroClix release.
Is this a good starting point for a new player?
Yes. Because the Fast Forces set gives you a complete, themed team with no randomness, it's an excellent entry point. You learn the game with a balanced roster and can expand later with boosters like X of Swords. If you're new, start with Rise and Fall Fast Forces. If you're expanding an existing collection, consider the X of Swords booster for new characters.
