Quick Answer

The Figuarts Zero Gear 5 Giant Monkey D. Luffy figure is a large, pre-owned collectible from Bandai with minor box damage. It's best for display-focused collectors who can accept second-hand condition.

Size and Display Impact

At roughly 12 inches tall and a box size of 15 x 14 x 14 inches, this figure commands significant shelf space. The Gear 5 design is dynamic and colorful, making it a centerpiece for any One Piece display. However, its large footprint means you'll need a sturdy shelf or dedicated cabinet.

Pre-Owned Condition: What to Know

This figure is sold as pre-owned merchandise with possible minor shelf wear on the box. The figure itself is fully sealed, but the box may show scuffs or dents. If you're a mint-in-box collector, this could be a dealbreaker. For those who display the figure, the box condition is less critical.

Decision Rules for This Figure

  • Check the Box Condition: Contact the seller about the specific box damage before purchase. Minor shelf wear is common, but you can request photos to decide if it's acceptable.
  • Measure Your Display Space: The box is 15 x 14 x 14 inches, and the figure itself is 12 inches tall. Ensure your shelf or case can accommodate these dimensions, especially height and depth.
  • Consider the Market Price: Catalog price is $170.09 (vs. $269.99 comparison), and market price is listed at $299.99. The pre-owned condition explains the discount—decide if the savings justify the box wear. If you want a pristine box, look for a new-in-box listing instead.
