Quick answer
The Rattan Original Luggy Straw is a versatile, wheeled basket ideal for toddlers to store and carry toys, while adding a natural, vintage-inspired look to any room.
Why choose a rattan storage basket?
Rattan baskets bring warmth and texture to a space, blending seamlessly with natural home decor. Unlike plastic bins, they are lightweight yet sturdy, making them easy for little ones to move around. The open weave also allows air circulation, which is great for storing items like stuffed animals or dress-up clothes.
Trade-offs to consider
Because the basket is made from natural straw and rattan, it is not waterproof. Spills or outdoor use in wet conditions could damage the material. Also, the open weave means small items like beads or puzzle pieces might fall through. For those situations, a fabric-lined bin might be a better choice.
How to decide if the Luggy Straw is right for you
- Check your storage needs: Use this basket for medium-sized toys, books, or dress-up items. Avoid storing tiny pieces that could slip through the weave.
- Consider the environment: Keep the basket indoors or in dry outdoor areas. Do not leave it in rain or damp spaces, as natural fibers can warp or mildew.
- Think about your child's age: Best for toddlers who can walk and pull. Younger infants may tip it over, and older children might find it too small for larger collections. If your child is under 12 months, look for a soft fabric basket instead.
