Quick answer

To set up the Scythe Constantinople Airship, attach the plastic airship to its base stand, then follow The Wind Gambit rules to assign it to the Constantinople faction during game setup.

What You Need

The Constantinople Airship is an add-on for Scythe and The Wind Gambit expansion. It includes 1 plastic airship and 1 base stand. You'll also need the base Scythe game and The Wind Gambit expansion to use it.

This airship represents the Constantinople faction from Duel of Meloch, but it's not used in that game. It's provided separately for Scythe players who want to add a unique airship to their collection.

Setup Steps

  1. Attach the airship to its base: Press the plastic airship firmly onto the clear plastic base stand until it clicks into place. The airship should sit upright and stable. If the airship wobbles, check that the peg is fully inserted. Do not force it sideways.
  2. Set up the Scythe board and factions: Place the game board and distribute faction mats as usual. Choose the Constantinople faction (from Duel of Meloch) if you want to use its airship. The Constantinople faction is not part of the base Scythe game; you need the Duel of Meloch expansion to play as Constantinople.
  3. Add The Wind Gambit airships: Shuffle the airship cards from The Wind Gambit and deal one to each player, including Constantinople. Place the Constantinople airship miniature on the Constantinople faction's airship card. Each airship card grants a unique ability; the Constantinople airship uses the same rules as other airships.
  4. Proceed with normal Scythe setup: Continue with the standard Scythe setup: place resources, objective tiles, encounter tokens, and combat cards. The airship does not affect the initial resource placement. The airship is only active after the first turn; it does not change the starting conditions.
