Quick answer

Display your Thrilljoy PIX! Wirt figure in a dust-free case away from direct sunlight, and handle it by the base to avoid stress on the vinyl.

Why Wirt needs special care

The Thrilljoy PIX! Wirt figure features a pointed cone hat and a flowing blue cape, both delicate areas that can bend or break if squeezed. Because this is a Hot Topic exclusive limited to 7,500 pieces, protecting its condition matters for both display and potential future value.

The figure's small size (about 3 inches) means details like the white button-up shirt and black overalls are painted precisely – but the paint can scratch if the figure rubs against other collectibles. Keeping it separate or using a riser helps maintain its mint look.

How to display and protect your Thrilljoy PIX! Wirt

  1. Choose a display location away from sunlight: Place the figure on a shelf or in a cabinet that does not receive direct sunlight. UV rays can fade the paint on Wirt's blue cape and white shirt over time. A north-facing wall or a closed cabinet with UV-filtering glass is ideal.
  2. Use a protective case or stand: Acrylic display cases (such as Funko Pop! protectors or similar) fit PIX! figures well. If you prefer an open shelf, use a clear plastic stand to keep the figure upright and prevent tipping. Avoid stacking other figures on top of Wirt – the hat is fragile.
  3. Handle by the base, not the head or cape: When moving or dusting the figure, grip the black base firmly. Picking it up by the hat or cape can cause bending or paint rub. Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust. Never use cleaning sprays or wet wipes – they can damage the paint.
  4. Check for chase variants before displaying: If you received a chase or super chase variant, its rarity may warrant extra protection. Consider keeping it in the original packaging and using a hard plastic protector instead of an open display. Document which variant you have by taking a photo of the bottom stamp or box label.
