Quick Answer
The TMNT Top Trumps deck focuses on four core character stats—Intelligence, Strength, Courage, and Speed—that you compare to win cards. Understanding each Turtle’s strengths and weaknesses helps you choose the right stat to challenge opponents.
Why Stat Order Matters
In Top Trumps, you pick one stat from your top card and compare it with the same stat on your opponent’s card. The player with the higher number wins that round. This means memorizing which Turtle has the highest stat in each category gives you a strategic edge—especially when facing characters like Splinter or Shredder.
TMNT Top Trumps Stat Breakdown
Which stat is best for Leonardo?
Leonardo typically has high Strength and Courage—often in the 80–90 range. Use Strength against weaker opponents like April O’Neil, but avoid challenging characters with superior Speed.
How can Donatello win rounds?
Donatello’s standout stat is Intelligence, usually his highest number. If you hold his card, choose Intelligence to challenge anyone—few characters beat his 90+ IQ score. Always check Intelligence first when Donatello is your top card.
What about Michelangelo and Raphael?
Michelangelo’s best stat is Speed (often 85+), while Raphael relies on Courage and Strength. Use Michelangelo’s Speed to beat slower foes; with Raphael, pick Courage unless the opponent has a very high value in that category.
Can you bluff with low stats?
Yes—if you have a card with low numbers, call a stat where you suspect your opponent’s card is even weaker. For example, if your card has 50 Strength and the opponent’s typical character has 40, you still win. It’s a risk, but it can turn the game around. Bluffing works best when you know the typical stat range of common characters.
