What you need before you start

The enclosure supports standard NVMe drives. It does not support SATA M.2 drives, so double-check your SSD's interface before you begin.
Setup steps
- Open the enclosure: Slide the outer shell off the enclosure body. The tool-free design uses a friction-fit or latch mechanism — no screws to remove. Do not force the shell. If it sticks, check for a small release button or tab on the underside.
- Insert the NVMe SSD: Align the gold contacts of the SSD with the connector inside the enclosure. Gently push the drive down until it clicks into place. The drive should sit flat. Common mistake: inserting the SSD upside down. The label should face up, and the connector end should go in first.

A drive that does not appear in your OS is likely unformatted, not defective. Format it before troubleshooting.
