Quick Answer
No, the Vista Insect Mesh is designed specifically for the Tentsile Trillium tree tent, not as a standalone bug net for a 3-person hammock. It works with a compatible RoofKit to create an enclosed, insect-proof room within the Trillium system.
Why It's Not a Universal Fit
The Vista Insect Mesh is engineered to match the Trillium's shape and attachment points. Unlike generic hammock mosquito nets, it won't drape correctly over a standard 3-person hammock, and it lacks the integrated suspension to seal around a hammock's edges.
If you're looking for bug protection for a standalone 3-person hammock, you'll need a net designed for that hammock's specific dimensions. The Vista is a component of the Trillium system, not a one-size-fits-all accessory.
Installation Considerations
When properly installed on a Trillium with a RoofKit, the Vista Insect Mesh forms a sealed living space that keeps insects out while maintaining airflow. Installation requires aligning the mesh with the Trillium's attachment points and ensuring the RoofKit is compatible.
Because the mesh is accessory-specific, you can't adapt it to other hammocks without significant modification, which could compromise its bug-proof seal.
Common Questions
Does the Vista Insect Mesh fit any 3-person hammock?
No. It is specifically designed for the Tentsile Trillium tree tent, not for standalone hammocks. Its shape and attachment points are unique to the Trillium. Check your hammock's model before purchasing.
Can I use the Vista Insect Mesh without a RoofKit?
The mesh works in conjunction with a compatible RoofKit to form a sealed, insect-proof room. Without a RoofKit, the enclosure won't be complete. Ensure your Trillium has a compatible RoofKit.
What if I want bug protection for a different 3-person hammock?
Look for a bug net designed specifically for your hammock's dimensions. The Vista Insect Mesh won't provide a proper seal on other hammocks. Measure your hammock and search for a compatible net.
