Quick Answer

To set up the PAW Patrol Dino Adventure 6-Pack, carefully unbox the figures, remove all packaging ties, and pose each character by rotating their heads and adjusting limbs. Start a rescue mission by pairing each pup with Timmy the T-Rex for imaginative play. No tools or batteries are needed.

What's in the Box

The PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie Dino Adventure 6-Pack includes six action figures: Marshall, Chase, Skye, and Rex, plus Ryder and Timmy the T-Rex. Each figure has special articulation—the pups' heads swivel, allowing for expressive poses. The set is designed for children ages 3 and up and does not require batteries or assembly tools.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

  1. Unbox and Inspect: Open the packaging and remove all six figures. Check that no small parts are loose and that all figures are intact. Look for any twist ties or tape securing the figures to the tray. Common mistake: leaving twist ties on the figures, which can limit movement or be a choking hazard.
  2. Remove Packaging Restraints: Carefully cut or untwist any ties holding the figures in place. Remove any plastic covers or cardboard inserts. Dispose of packaging materials away from young children. Checkpoint: all figures should move freely before play begins.
  3. Pose the Pups: Rotate each pup's head to face different directions. Adjust their legs and tails if they have movable parts. For Rex, position his arms and legs to stand or sit. Ryder's arms can be positioned to hold an imaginary rescue tool. Avoid forcing joints beyond their natural range—articulation is designed to swivel, not bend 360 degrees.
  4. Introduce Timmy the T-Rex: Place Timmy in a central spot. Because he is larger than the pups, he works well as the mission focal point—either as a friend to rescue or a dinosaur to befriend. Pose his mouth open for a roaring effect. Timmy's size makes him a natural leader in dinosaur-themed play, but ensure he is stable on flat surfaces to prevent tipping.
  5. Start a Rescue Mission: Pair each pup with a role: Chase for lookout, Marshall for safety, Skye for aerial views, and Rex for dinosaur expertise. Use Ryder as the mission commander. Create a simple story, like finding a lost dinosaur egg or helping Timmy cross a rocky path. No extra playset is required—the figures are ready for imaginative play on any flat surface.
