Step-by-step removal process
- Check your adhesive: Confirm your press-ons were applied with Ersa solid glue. If you used regular nail glue, stop here and use a soak-off remover instead. Using the pen on the wrong glue won't work and can lead to prying.
- Position the pen tip downward: Hold the Ersa Removal Pen with the tip facing down. This ensures the remover flows to the tip and is ready to inject. If the tip isn't down, you may inject air instead of remover.
- Insert the tip under the nail edge: Gently slide the pen tip into the gap between your press-on and natural nail. Don't force it – if it doesn't slide easily, move to a different edge. Forcing the tip can lift or damage the natural nail.
- Click and inject the remover: Press the click mechanism to inject a small amount of remover into the edge. Wait a few seconds for it to work into the glue bond. One click is usually enough; over-injecting can make a mess.
- Lift gently and repeat: After a few seconds, gently lift the press-on from that edge. If it doesn't release easily, inject a bit more remover and wait again. Never yank. Patience prevents nail damage and keeps your press-ons reusable.
