Quick answer
Load the Wrapmaster 4500 with a compatible 18″ film roll, thread the film through the cutting blade, and pull forward for a clean, tangle-free cut.
Why a dedicated dispenser matters in a nursery kitchen
Nursery kitchens wrap dozens of snacks and meal portions daily. A handheld roll slows you down and often tears unevenly. The Wrapmaster 4500 holds the film steady and cuts it clean, so you can work faster and waste less.
Choosing the right film for the dispenser
The Wrapmaster 4500 is designed for 18″ (45 cm) rolls. Using a narrower roll leaves gaps that let the blade snag. Stick to 18″ PVC cling film for a snug fit and consistent cuts.
How to set up and use the Wrapmaster 4500
- 1. Prepare the dispenser: Place the Wrapmaster 4500 on a clean, flat counter. Open the top cover by pressing the side clips. Remove any old roll or debris from the spindle. Check that the cutting blade is not dull or blocked before loading.
- 2. Load the film roll: Slide an 18″ PVC cling film roll onto the spindle. Ensure the film unrolls from the bottom toward the front of the dispenser. Close the cover until it clicks. If the roll is smaller than 18″, it may wobble and cause uneven cuts.
- 3. Thread the film: Pull a few inches of film forward over the cutting blade. Press the film down so it lies flat against the serrated edge. Do not pull the film sideways—it can tear before you cut.
- 4. Make the first cut: Grip the film with both hands near the blade. Pull the film downward firmly and quickly. The serrated edge will slice it cleanly. A slow, hesitant pull often leaves a jagged edge or no cut at all.
- 5. Wrap your food item: Center the cut sheet over the bowl or tray. Press the film onto the sides—the high cling properties will hold it. For tall items, stretch the film slightly before pressing. Overstretching can tear the film; a gentle tension is enough.
- 6. Store the dispenser properly: After use, keep the dispenser in a dry area away from heat. Wipe the blade with a dry cloth if any residue builds up. Moisture can rust the blade, so avoid leaving it near a sink.
