How to Brew with the Palmpress on Your CORKCICLE Cup

  1. Prep Your Cup and Grounds: Fill your CORKCICLE cup with hot water to preheat it, then discard the water. Add 2 tablespoons of medium-fine coffee grounds to the Palmpress chamber. Preheating prevents your coffee from cooling too fast.
  2. Attach the Palmpress: Screw the Palmpress onto the top of your CORKCICLE cup until it's snug. Make sure the rubber seal sits flat to avoid leaks. A loose seal will cause drips during brewing.
  3. Add Hot Water and Brew: Pour 8 oz of water just off the boil (around 200°F) into the top of the Palmpress. Stir gently, then let it steep for 2–3 minutes. Steeping longer than 3 minutes can make the coffee bitter.
  4. Press and Enjoy: Slowly press the plunger down until you hear a hiss. Unscrew the Palmpress, attach your regular CORKCICLE lid, and drink directly from the cup. If pressing is difficult, your grind may be too fine.
